Which Book Do You Wish Had a Sequel?
Brandy Potter
So I really want Pride and Prejudice to have a GOOD sequel. I think there are such great characters in all of The Bennets and Darcy’s sister and Bingley’s sister.. Dear lord it could be such a great book. And yes I know they exist, but I haven’t seen one written true to Austin’s characterization yet.
Also, The Collector by Nora Roberts. I love that couple. Truly love them. I am not really sure why, but I honestly think they made a great “laymen” team for investigation. Ash might not think so though, he was kind of a worry wart!

I really want Geekerella by Ashley Poston to have a sequel with Sage as the main character. There is still so much more to know about this awesome character and the end of Geekerella set up nicely for the story to continue. I’d also love to have a spin-off about Starfield, the fictional TV series featured in the book. Geekerella is a love letter to every fan-girl/boy out

There are a few books I’ve read that I’ve enjoyed so much that I would want a sequel, just to continue exploring the world and the characters!
It started with a lovely series begun by a friend’s relative, The Starlight Proverbs by Darren E. Barber. It was going to be the first in a series called “Tales from the Late Remian Empire” and the world-building just smacked of Old Britain classic fantasy…. But alas, he was one of the victims of vanity press Tate Publishing, so when that went belly-up… now the book isn’t even available anymore. Is sad.
Also, one of the first indie books I ever reviewed was called Warriors of The Edge: The Search for Stone by Katie Bridges. A LitRPG book ahead of its time, it was comparable to Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One, and I would have loved to see a sequel…. But again, the spendy “vanity press” option ends up squelching the author… and it doesn’t appear that she’s even written any more books, much less considered continuing the series.
All is not lost, though! I am fairly certain the paranormal investigator novel Murder In Absentia by Assaph Mehr, will have sequels, as the series has a title, “Felix the Fox” (think “Dresden Files in Ancient Rome”), so I have another series to look forward to!
Speaking of Dresden Files…
I really love Jim Butcher’s Aeronaut’s Windlass and I really hope that the series, “Cinder Spires” will take off!

I am desperate for the 6th book in A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin (commonly referred to as Game of Thrones which is actually the title of book 1). I have all five books and I’ve been waiting 6 years (it’ll be 7 in December) for book 6. I know this because my brother-in-law bought me A Dance with Dragons for Christmas the year my daughter was born.

It’s the most fun you can have in the summer out of the water.
So many Jane Austen novels could have potentially awesome sequels. She created such a good cast of characters.
I’ve not read or watched any Game of Thrones (I know I’m one of the few). I want to read the books before watching the tv series.
I have never been all that into the GoT show. The books are good though.
